Hip Hop Trivia Podcast

I listen to a lot of hip hop podcasts; pretty much all of them. My favorite hip hop podcast is Headspin by Stupid Fly media. It's an audio game show where two contestants compete to answer golden era (late 80s, early 90s) hip hop trivia questions. The contestants are 40-50 year old hip hop heads flexing their useless hip hop knowledge. I love the idea (wish I would have thought of it) and their execution of it is even better.

The Show

When I first heard the show last year I binge listened to all 10 first season episodes in 2 days. Everything from the shows logo to the host to the questions are very well done. They even got DJ Kool (of Let Me Clear My Throat fame) to act as a virtual co-host by providing audio drops that explain the rules of the game and the consequences for the loser in his distinct voice. The questions are challenging and go so much deeper than the normal hip hop trivia you find online.

The Questions

To make sure you are sufficiently motivated to check it out I've included some example questions below. But, I'm not going to provide answers so you are going to have to listen to the first episode to unlock them. Note that the questions get progressively harder each round.

Round 1:
